Four testing dates are available for the 2012 season:  Saturday, May 26; Saturday, June 2; Saturday, June 9; and Saturday, June 16.  All testing will be conducted starting at 10:30 AM at the Beach Patrol Headquarters at Centre Street and the oceanfront.  Testing for returning guards will also be held at the St. Francis Center pool in Brant Beach on Saturday, June 9 (the time is yet to be determined). 

The 2012 Physical Agility Test will consist of a 500 meter swim that must be completed in under 10 minutes. This will be performed in the ocean or bay, conditions permitting. Lifeguard candidates must also complete a timed mile run and an interview. A simulated rescue may also be required.  Lifeguard candidates who successfully complete both the Physical Agility Test and the Interview must complete Rookie Training School which begins Saturday June 16, 2012 and will continue through Friday June 22, 2012.
